After all the bad press and hype over McDonalds last campaign I have to admit that I still dine at the fast food giant.
I have nostalgic memories of McDonalds because as a child we lived down the block from one. McDonalds was my treat for getting good grades, doing all my chores or just because Grandma didn’t feel like cooking that night. It was when McDonalds restaurants were brick with red roofs and white trim. Before playhouses and giant slides we had ball pits and your height was measured by the Hamburglar sign. Who could forget Calvin who was promoted to manager by being a good citizen and providing quality customer service in the commercials. This is my McDonalds.
I can be seen on Foursquare checking in at any one of two local McDonald’s at least once a week. While I know Americans in general have taken great steps to change their eating habits McDonalds has also evolved and developed some healthier menu items so that the public has choices, because let’s face it there are a few individuals who don’t care and want all the fat & fixens.
So with summer fast approaching and the weather getting warmer I decided that it’s time for a giveaway. One of my favorite items on the McDonald’s menu this time of year is the Caramel Frappe. Sumptuous caramel & coffee blended with ice, topped with whipped cream & extra caramel syrup.
In the spirit of summer I am giving away 50 complimentary cards for a free medium real fruit smoothie or frappe.
Terms & Conditions: Please note that these complimentary cards are only valid in the states of NC & SC. (My apologies I wish they worked everywhere but they don’t.)
